At Northeast Arc’s Family Support Centers, we know that the work we do is only possible because of the incredible partnerships we share. Today, I want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude to our collaborators—the families, the individuals we serve, and the organizations that stand beside us: The Flutie Foundation Jr. for Autism, Mass Advocates for Children, Federation for Children with Special Needs, the Arc of Massachusetts, Rock the Spectrum, Shore Country Day School, Inclusion Sports, and Rodman for Kids.
Your commitment, combined with ours, creates opportunities that truly change lives for families and their loved ones with intellectual disabilities and autism. Our mission runs deep. Northeast Arc was founded in 1954 by parents who wanted a better future for their children—a future built on dignity, inclusion, and possibility. That conviction still drives us every single day. We are committed to helping families navigate challenges, celebrate successes, and access the resources they need to thrive.
And at the heart of this work is lived experience. It is the most powerful tool we have. Lived experience means listening to the voices of those who know disability firsthand—the individuals and families who live it every day. Their insights shape better policies, more responsive services, and a more inclusive society. They remind us that disability is not a deficit—it is part of human diversity.
When we center lived experience, plus true leadership and co-creation. We transform personal struggles into knowledge that fosters resilience, connection, and advocacy for rights.
Together—with families, individuals, and partners—we are not just offering services. We are creating a movement for equity and inclusion. We are building a world where every person has the opportunity to live, work, and belong.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for believing in this mission. And thank you for helping us turn lived experience into lasting change.
Happy New Year!
